 Bridges Family Counseling requirements, for AMFT's, APCC's, ASW's

Bridges Family Counseling is a psychotherapy practice and training program for therapists and interns and associates, committed to self responsibility in their own healing and growth process and committed to extending that healing in service to others, with understanding and compassion

AMFT, APCC and ASW background and experience:

You will provide clinical psychotherapy services in collaboration with supervisionary feedback and evidence-based psychotherapy for clients who are living with some form of mental health concern.

You will engage in and connect with community service opportunities in collaboration with your supervisor and colleagues, in the Sacramento region and assist in the planning and implementing of outreach coodination and community service activities.  

Monthly community service blogs are written by all staff and reflect both clinically relevant client information in the field of psychology, social work and professional counseling and focused on diverse expressions and perspectives on personal healing and growth, in the field of psychology.  

Develop healing and person-centered, collaborative treatment plans with patients and document specific and measurable progress notes, within 24 hours of service.

You will maintain 25 client contact hours weekly.

 

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY ASSOCIATE/PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL COUNSELING ASSOCIATE/ASSOCIATE OF SOCIAL WORK REQUIREMENTS

Psychology associate requirements can be divided into basic requirements and required soft skills. The lists below show the most common requirements included in psychology associate job postings.

Requirements

• Completion of  an accredited graduate degree in the relevant curriculum  

• Registered as an Associate MFT, PCC or Social Worker, with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences  

• Intention to complete licensing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences

• Experience: 500-700 hours in counseling, psychotherapy and providing psychoeducation, with a demonstrated understanding and/or ongoing sustained willingness to understand, study and apply common factors research, in each client relationship formed with with the employee/clinician. 

• Computer literacy in software related to psychology, such as progress notes, email competency, timely communications,professional boundaries and limits.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work dependently, independently and in interdependantly on a clinical and organizational team

• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, having unique worldviews and differing points of view

• Flexible and adaptable to changing professional environments, administrative demands, standards of practice
